COVID-19 UPDATE

April 6, 2020

Black Warrior EMC recognizes some members may be impacted in different ways at different levels.  Because of this, late fees were waived at the end of March.  We have also suspended disconnects for non-pay until April 17, 2020.  We, like others, will re-evaluate our collections policy at that time.  Our member service representatives are able to make short term arrangements with members who are current and in good standing prior to this pandemic.  It is our goal to maintain reliable service throughout this crisis.

Our office is staffed with our MSRs rotating shifts.  Our buildings will remain closed to the public.  If you see our crews working in the field, please maintain a safe distance away.  Our prayer and top priority are the health and well-being of our employees and members.

Remember, electric cooperatives are not-for-profit and cannot forgive the amounts owed on bills.  At some point, the bill must be paid in full, so PLEASE continue to make your payments and contact our office for more information.
