COVID-19 UPDATE

May 14, 2020

Black Warrior EMC’s Board of Directors extended the suspension of disconnection for non-payment through May 20, 2020.  However, following last weeks amended order and most  businesses re-opening, late fees will be reinstated for members who do not pay by the due date of May 20, 2020.

Following that due date, efforts will be made to notify members who have accumulated several months of the impending reinstatement of disconnection of service.

Since this pandemic became present in our area back in March, Black Warrior EMC has made the health and well-being of our employees and members our top concern.  We have messaged our members to contact our office to make arrangements if you had been impacted by COVID-19.  Some of you have, but many have not.

Again, we are encouraging our members who are experiencing difficulties as a result of COVID-19 to reach out to our member service representatives to make arrangements to pay your bills to avoid disconnection once the suspension is lifted.  Our office can direct you to valuable resources within the community to help meet your individual needs.  Contact information for those sources can also be found here .
