On December 16, 2019 as everyone was preparing for Christmas, the Black Warrior linemen and staff were preparing for the possibility of severe storms.  Unfortunately, that evening it came true.  A long- tracked super-cell traveled across our system dropping its funnel cloud several times.  Heavy damage occurred at Hinton and Jachin in Choctaw County.  Homes and property were destroyed just west of our office in Demopolis in the Saltwell Community.  The storm then traveled on across Hale and Perry counties.  All five of our district line crews responded to these areas and worked throughout the night and into the following afternoon.  Office staff and our Operations group did likewise until all service was restored in less than 24 hours.  Here are just a few of the pictures where our employees worked in the continuous rain and wind throughout that night and next day.  To all of our employees, a hearty Thank You!
