UPDATE TO BLACK WARRIOR EMC’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Additional measures were required following mandates from the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Governor’s office.

Again, first and foremost is the safety and health of our members and employees.  We now must maintain a social distance of 6 feet from our fellow employees and the public.  All of this is to keep our crews healthy and not quarantined.

The only area open to the public on ALL Black Warrior premises is the lobby at our main office in Demopolis.  It too will likely close in the near future until this unprecedented event has passed.  Most of our banking partners who take our payments have also closed their lobbies to the public.

Our crews and staff are being separated and divided into smaller groups to prevent any mass loss of labor.  The smaller crews will focus on keeping the power on.  Work will be prioritized based on necessity.

**MEMBERS – Please mail your payments or pay online until this subsides.  Drop boxes can be used outside of our office building.

These payments are still due by the 20th of each month in order to keep accounts current.

Our office staff will continue to be available by calling 1-800-242-2580.  We appreciate your patience and assistance as we work through this pandemic.
